In 2014/15 DATS offered three workshops aimed at developing skills in mounting historic dress. The first workshop at The Clothworkers’ Centre, V&A, London in July 2014 formed provided the twelve attendants with basic skills. They then attended an advanced workshop in either Bath or Manchester in early 2015.

The workshops achieved the challenging aim of presenting the approach of the V&A’s full time professionals to delegates working within very different settings with different backgrounds and resources. The project enabled delegates to display more objects, more appropriately, and to professional standards without involving freelance specialists.
