DATS 50th Anniversary Annual Conference will be held at Sallis Benney Theatre, University of Brighton on 25-26 September 2025.

The conference will include keynote presentations by Zenzie Tinker on conservation practice and Professor Emerita Lou Taylor on dress studies.

Late afternoon of Thursday 25 September will be dedicated to group visits to:

University of Brighton Dress Collection

A self-led tour of The Lanes

A self-led visit to Brighton Museum and Art Gallery

Please note: we are still in consultation with the venue regarding a livestream option, this will be added as a ticket option if it becomes available.

The conference dinner is open to all and at your own expense, but please book your place as spaces are limited.

During the conference we will hold DATS Annual General Meeting online only. This is to ensure accessibility for all. A link for attending the AGM will be sent to the membership by DATS Secretary.
