Dress and Textile Specialists Conference 2022

We are pleased to announce that ticket sales are now open for our 2022 conference at the M Shed, Bristol and online via Zoom on Friday 21 October, with associated visits on Thursday 20 October.

We have a fabulous programme including visits to the Blaise Museum and Fashion Museum in Bath and you can now head over to Eventbrite to book your tickets.

Your questions answered session

On the Friday afternoon of the conference, we will be running an open ‘questions answered’ session, to which anyone is invited to submit queries and quandaries relating to dress and textiles in a museums, gallery, archive or historic house professional practice context. Questions will be answered live as far as possible, with notes collated for network information.

Preference will be given to questions submitted in advance. Please email your questions to Emily Taylor by 17:00 Wednesday 19 October, with a note if you wish the submission to be treated as anonymous.

The conference will not be recorded, the hybrid format is intended to enable broad participation.

Conference attendance and travel bursaries

If you are a DATS member and require financial assistance to attend the conference, please email Lisa Mason with a short note about yourself, why attendance is important and what help you may need.

We’re excited to see you all in Bristol, Bath and online!
